Notice of AGM and Closing Dates for Motions and Nominations
Ladies and Gentlemen the Annual General Meeting of Old County Pitch and Piutt Club will take place on Monday 06 November 2023 at 8pm in the back room upstairs in the GAA Club.
If you wish to put forward any proposals or motions for the AGM please put them in writing, sign it, have it seconded and put it into the Competitions Box in the clubhouse on or before 7pm Tuesday October 10th 2023.
We have 19 positions available on the Committee for 2024 (well 17, the club captains will be nominated by the outgoing club captains). Any member who wishes to put their name forward for a position please fill out a nomination paper, sign and have it seconded, and put it in the competitions box no later than 7pm Tuesday October 10th 2023. Nomination papers are available from the Club Secretary Mr Gerry Clarges. Without a Committee there will be no club, we are lucky to have fantastic volunteers over the years, lets hope we can get a good team together for 2024. We are all in this together. The list of positions available , with a very very brief outline of the role are as follows:
Club President (this will be a 2 year term - representing the club at all necessary functions)
Club Chairman (provide leadership and ensuring the effective running of the club and committee meetings)
Club Secretary (documenting and communicating the activities of the committee)
Club Treasurer (maintaining the club finances)
Club Registrar (registering members with the PPI upon receipt of their membership fee)
Club Competitions Secretary (preparing a fixture calendar for the season and running the various club competitions etc)
Club Assistant Treasurer (assisting Treasurer in looking after the books, assisting collecting membership fees etc)
Card Duty Roster (arranging the card duty time schedule for the season)
Outside Competitions (making sure all the entries for outside competitions are submitted to PPI, Dublin Board etc by the closing dates)
Club Grounds Manager (chairing the grounds committee ensuring all necessary work on the grounds is done in a timely manner)
Dublin County Board Rep (attending the monthly Dublin County Board meetings and reporting back to the Old County committee)
Club PRO (communication of important events within the club - be it by word of mouth, club website, notices etc., liasing with sponsors, members)
Club Social Rep (organising the social side of the club - functions, refreshments at presentations etc)
Club Juvenile Officer (organising competitions, events etc for the under 16 members of our club)
3 Committee persons (ad hoc roles that may be required, assisting other positions etc)
Committeee meetings are usually 2 times a month, off peak one time a month.
