Winter League Tables after Week 7 - 19 February 2023
Ladies and Gentlemen we have now completed Week 7 of the Winter Leagues with just the one week to go now before the Final.
In Group A Team Bermingham had an excellent weekend with a score of 36 under par, improving their overall team score by 13 shots to lead on 200 under par. It would take some extraordinary scores by other teams in Week 8 for them not to make the final.
Team O'Reilly had the best score of the weekend and the best weekend score of any team over the 7 weeks so far, with a 39 under par bringing their team score to 187 under par. They would need to score at least 30 under par next weekend to have a chance of making the final as they find themselves 4 shots behind the Group B leaders. They could even have a chance of catching the GRoup A leaders if they can post another 39 under par.
The 3 remaining teams in Group A will be trying to avoid the wooden spoon next weekend.
In Group B Team Glennon improved their score by 4 shots with a 33 under par to give them an overall total of 191 under par. They have been the most consistent team over the 7 weeks with their lowest score at 29 under par and their best at 34 under par.
Team McGreal maintain 2nd place with 175 under par and would need a 37 under par next weekend to have any chance of making the final. Team Power remain in 3rd spot and Team Comerford have moved into 4th place (there was a 3 shot correction to their team score from previous week, one of their last weeks cards only being discovered in the abyss of the competitions box this weekend), putting Team Murray in the wooden spoon position going into the final weekend.
So thats where we are at going into the last weekend of the Group stages. A link to the Scoreboard and Group tables can be found below. Have a good week everyone.
