Last weekend saw just a sweepstake competition as many of the ladies enjoyed a very successful day out at the Ladies Social day on Saturday. They won 5 prizes so well done to them. Well done to all those who picked up wins in our own competition at the weekend.

The Results of last weekends competition are posted below. Due to numbers who played this was just a sweepstake but still some excellent scoring in our first singles stableford event of the season.

We apologise for delay in bringing you the results for the Fr.Pat Trophy. There was a mistake in results posted last night this has been updated. The 1st big championship of the season saw some very good scoring in some difficult conditions as players braved the cold the wind and ultimately heavy rain in pursuit of the Fr.Pat Trophy. Joe Canning scored a fantastic 86 as did Tony Byrne and Conor Parsons but we had a clear winner with two superb scores of 52 and 55 off 13 it was Tom Mulvey who took the trophy with an excellent score of 81. Tom was a clear winner from the previously mentioned players. In the Gross prizes, Tom O'Reilly was back to his brilliant best with a 92 and Rob Berney with 101 was a fine score in the Inters. We were delighted as well to see Stephen Power showing his best form with a 90 nett off 1. Our new Chairman and Gents Captain and  Lady Captain showed they can still fulfill their duties and play well on the course as they picked up prizes, Vera Glennon picked up from her excellent year in 2017 and Ann O'Shea continues to improve. Great to see Alice Sargent, Vera Moore and Deirdre Curran in the winners enclosure too. The weekend was also about the Irish Heart Foundation and the members as always dug deep and ensured it was a huge success. We will be making a cheque to the Irish heart Foundation at the presentation of prizes on April 26th to tie in with the final of the Sean Tyre, we reveal the final amount on the night. A huge thanks to all who supported, by playing, supporting the raffles, making cash donations and prize donations, thanks to the grounds team who not only kept the course playable but in good condition and a special thanks to Monica and Kevin Bermingham who were there the whole 4 days helping with card duty, marking up scores and running a Kitchen to earn further funds for the Charity. Congratulations to Tom on his win, hopefully the start of a memorable season for him. The Next Major is just a few short weeks away with the Sean Tyre closely followed by the Club Strokeplay on April 28th and 29th.

The committee has reviewed the number and type of prizes given out for St.Patrick's Day. Although the number of cards played was very low, we appreciate the effort made by the members to come out and play in the bitterly cold conditions and in recognition of this, there will be 4 prizes awarded as per previous St.Patricks day's and  the new results are listed below.
